Facilities
LiSA capitalizes on facilities dedicated to its solar fuels research program at each of the partner sites. The Jorgensen Laboratory at Caltech includes laboratories for high-throughput experimentation, optical measurements, directed materials research, and catalyst characterization. Chu Hall at LBNL has laboratories for light absorber research, integration research, prototype fabrication, and outdoor testing. LBNL is also home to the DOE User Facilities: ALS, NERSC, and the Molecular Foundry. NREL features laboratory and outdoor testing facilities. SLAC brings strengths in the discovery, understanding and characterization of materials and molecules, catalysis theory & experiments, ultrafast measurement, and durable materials, as well as the DOE User Facilities SSRL and LCLS. LiSA also utilizes specialized facilities at UCI, UCSD and U of Oregon.
